Novel November

November is National Novel Writing Month, which is where authors try to complete a rough draft of a novel in 30 days. I’ve tried it a few times with no success- I’m a poet, not a novelist- but I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to hold a finished fiction manuscript in my hands.

So, I’m trying it again!

Since the (rightful) decline of NaNoWriMo, I’ve joined up with ProWritingAid for their Novel November and will do my best to log in at least 1000 words a day, if not more.

It’s free, and they give you a step-by-step guide on getting your novel in shape.

I did miss yesterday because I forgot it was November, but I plan to make up for that today.

Wish me luck!

And, if you’re also doing Novel November, let me know! I’m always looking for sprinting buddies and support groups.
