My Favorite Stories about Vampires
Dracula by Bram Stoker
A classic for a reason! Plus, the annotated version (shown here) offers you unique insight into the mind of Bram and how he conceived the story that captured the imagination of millions.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith
A fun, historical take on the vampire legend that has enough facts and images to make you believe Abe did more than we know.
Salem’s Lot by Stephen King
This book scared me in broad daylight. Definitely one for the vampire fans!
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Not exactly horror, but the male MC is a vampire, and vampires play a huge role in the trilogy, so….
My Favorite Stories about “Monsters”
The language made this one of the hardest books I’ve ever read, but it was so worth it to get a better understanding of the classic tale.
Also, Doctor Frankenstein was the monster here, not his creation.
The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
A wild story of Puritans, witches, and monsters that defy imagination.
War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells
A science-fiction thriller about an alien invasion that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
Who doesn’t love a book about dinosaurs eating people?
The Wendigo by Algernon Blackwood
A classic “there’s something in the woods with us” story that I recently found and fell in love with!
That’s it!
I hope you enjoyed my book recommendation series. I enjoyed going through my shelves and reading history and picking stories for each category, and it’s reminded me how much I enjoy the horror genre!
