My Stance on AI.

Since AI is now EVERYWHERE, I wanted to come on here and offer my stance on this rising phenomena.

And I can sum it up in three words: I hate it.

AI is one of the worst things we’ve ever invented. It takes jobs, oversaturates creative markets, and makes us lazier humans all around.

Not to mention the severe impact it has on our environment.

I could rant about it all day (and I have- just ask my poor husband) because it makes me frustrated how dependent we’ve become on letting machines think and create for us.

Instead of helping us, it’s made us more suspicious of every piece of art, book, social media post, video, and information on the internet.

Therefore, my Promise to You is this:

I will NEVER use AI to generate content.

Every article, poem, story, or image I put on this website is made by me. The closest I get to using AI in my work is using Canva to make the featured images, but even then, I put everything together by hand- no generative images.

I believe in thinking for myself, creating my own work, and learning what I can to become a better writer.

If You Feel The Same Way…

There are ways to turn off certain AI features and return to a simpler, less intrusive time.

The best guide I’ve found so far comes from Librarian.net. However, you can also check out this guide from Fast Company, or this guide from Consumer Reports.

Sadly, we’ll never be completely rid of it, but these guides can help it be less invasive in our daily lives.

And, if you need an AI free space to relax and read something created by a human, this website is the place to be! I’ll always make my own work- no AI required.

What is your stance on AI? Let me know in the comments!
