A speck of rock in an infinite universe
Where the possibilities are endless
And the stars are as numerous as the sand.
Why should we be alone?
Egos and ambitions often fall away
When you realize how small we are-
Tiny people trying to survive on
A speck of rock in an infinite universe.
But science and curiosity persist
As we point our eyes into the night
And look for signs of life
Where the possibilities are endless.
Technology advances our insight
As new images and frequencies emerge.
But it barely makes a dent in our solar system,
For the stars are as numerous as the sand.
In the future, there may be signs,
Or even contact with other races.
For, in this vast universe of planets
Why should we be alone?
