Meet My Books!

It’s been a minute since I’ve done any book promotions, and what better time than the beginning of a new month?

So, without further ado, here are my books!

By the Bones

By the Bones is my first published collection, and it began as the capstone project for my creative writing degree. It is largely horror based, and every poem references bones or death in some way. There are also poems about real places (such as the Paris catacombs or the Body Farm of Tennessee), as well as ghosts, monsters, and plenty of skeletons to go around.

It’s also the only book whose cover I didn’t create. Instead, I commissioned my artist friend, Lillian Asterios, to create something based on the poems within. She did a fantastic job!

It’s the perfect collection for anyone who enjoys the creepy side of life, and you can learn more about it (and sample some of the poems) HERE.

Transfiguration

My second published work, Transfiguration is more personal and contains poems about trauma, mental health, therapy, and healing. Many of the poems are based on my experiences with anxiety and depression, and a few of them contain actual advice that my previous therapist gave me.

It’s also my first cover design, and I went through a few iterations before settling on the one below. However, I believe it represents the poems well, and I am pleased with how it turned out!

It’s the perfect collection for anyone who needs to know that they aren’t alone, and it’s much cheaper than actual therapy. Learn more about it (and sample some poems) HERE.

Into the Western Sky

Into the Western Sky is my third published collection, and it began as a challenge. When my grandfather learned I was writing poetry professionally, he began asking me, “when are you going to write me some cowboy poems?”

So, I did.

This is my take on the Wild West, and it was definitely the most challenging collection because cowboy poetry isn’t my forte, apparently. Still, I got it done, and he was very pleased with it- which is all that matters!

It’s the perfect collection for people who enjoy westerns or romanticizing the Old West, and there are poems about real events (like the Oregon Trail, or the Trail of Tears) within. Learn more about it (and sample some poems) HERE.

Structured Chaos

My fourth and most recent collection, Structured Chaos circles us back to the dark side with horror poems neatly contained in traditional forms. It began as an experiment to see if I could combine my love of traditional forms with my love of the macabre, and I definitely proved that I could.

Every poem within Structured Chaos has a name (Sonnet, Haiku, Ghazal, etc.), but the subjects are full of monsters, madness, and mystery.

It’s my favorite collection thus far, and it’s perfect for lovers of the dark and unusual. Learn more about it (and sample some poems) HERE.

BONUS BOOK

Many of you didn’t know that, before my poetry collections, I wrote and published an eBook titled 20 Fun Ideas for Content Creation.

It’s a guide to help combat writer’s block, generate ideas, and keep you from going crazy while looking at a blank page. It’s based on ways that I’ve personally used to get out of a writing slump, and there’s something in there for everyone!

It’s my first published book, and it’s available for the low price of $2. Check it out HERE

Those are My Books!

Five books isn’t a bad collection, and I am hoping to have more collections out in the future. However, I’m taking a small break from poetry to work on my fantasy novel (which has been in the works for literal YEARS).

Once I get back into poetry, I will probably start on another horror-based collection. Or a kids poetry collection. Those are my two current ideas, but I’m open to suggestions for collection themes!

Until then, these are the books I have, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!
