I ran away
And got real lost
But found myself
Despite the cost
Of leaving home
And roaming wide-

So step aside!
I learned some things

Embraced the change
And chose to grow

Upon a shelf.

I’ll see the world,
Have adventures,
Become unfurled.
Embrace the wind,
Explore the sky,
Revere the ocean,
And always try
To become bigger
Than I am
And give myself
A full exam
So I can keep
What serves me best
And keeps me on
My noble quest.
And I’ll start here
Where sand meets wave-
No turning back,
Time to be brave.
