Anxiety flows through my veins
And binds me with unspoken chains
Keeping me sustained in fear
Though I wish to feel some cheer
Instead of these uneasy pains
Why did I give it the reins
Let it take me with its strains
Now, it will be ever near
Anxiety
Suddenly, this thought explains
The tension swirling through my brains
But I vow to persevere
Against my life’s new souvenir
I am one person who retains
Anxiety
