She holds the secrets of the world
Within her tiny hands
And each small finger deftly curls
Around my well-laid plans
The universe is in her eyes
Which sparkle like the sea
But every moment deftly flies
For time cares not for me
There is magic on her lips
Which babble evermore
Someday, I must come to grips
That soon, she'll grow and soar
When that day comes, I'll wave goodbye
With a smile and a tear
Reminding her how to apply
The things I've taught her here
But until then, I'll hold her tight
And raise her as I should
This tiny human in my sight
Who owns my heart for good
