As you may have noticed, I’m WAY behind on getting my second podcast- Let’s Learn About- up and running. Part of it was due to family issues and having no time to record, the other part was because I started working out of the home 2x a week, which also cut into my recording time.

However, both of those issues are now resolved, and I should be able to record the first episode next week!

While we wait, let me tell you a bit about the goals for the podcast.

Let’s Learn About…

Will be a podcast to talk about, explore, and share different topics of interest. I plan to do deep dives for each topic and have it sorted into four categories:

• History
• Literature
• Paranormal
• True Crime

These four categories have PLENTY of rabbit holes for us to fall down, and some topics I’ve already looked into include:

• The Girl Scout Murders- a local (to me) true crime story that never got solved
• History of the Lobotomy- It haunts me and I need it to haunt you as well
• The Oldest Poem in history- a deep dive into the Epic of Gilgamesh
• The Paris Catacombs- the history and personal experiences within the bones
• Famous Cryptids of the USA- Learn about Bigfoot, Mothman, The Jersey Devil, and more
• Ghost Hunting 101- the basics of hunting the paranormal
• HH Holmes and the Murder Castle

This is just the tippy-top of the iceberg, and I plan to research every topic to the best of my ability and give you facts, photos, and maybe even testimonies when I can find them.

Schedule

My plan is to release a new episode on the Second and Third Saturdays of the month, and I will post them on YouTube, Spotify, and on the Let’s Learn About page.

Since I want to show images and other visual aids during the episode, I’m going to record it as a video podcast instead of an audio one. I’ve dabbled in this before with the live episodes of the Present Poetry Podcast, so I’m confident in my ability to record and edit a quality video.

Audience Participation

That’s the update! I will record the first episode next Tuesday and get it posted by Saturday, and we’ll see what kind of trouble we can get into from there!
