Small Life Update

Hello!

As you may have guessed, I didn’t have a proper article prepared for today. However, instead of giving you something half-assed, I’m going to give you a small life update.

A lot has been going on in my professional life, and I’m excited to share the news with you!

I was recently appointed to the board of the Arts Council of Tahlequah, and it’s been a fabulous opportunity to promote the arts in my community. I will also be working 2x a week at their art gallery, so I’m excited to get to meet other artists, poets, and crafters in my area.

My new podcast, Let’s Learn About…, is unfortunately delayed due to a family emergency. However, I’ve been researching topics, learning new recording techniques, and getting everything ready for when I can get back to it- hopefully by March.

I will once again be attending the Imaginarium convention in July! I don’t have a workshop this year, unfortunately, but I am on several panels! I can’t wait to return to my “home away from home” and see old friends, meet new ones, and boost my creativity for the rest of the year.

On the subject of workshops, I have the opportunity to teach poetry lessons for two different local galleries this year! It will be twice a month- one lesson for the Bluebird Gallery, and one for the River and Words Gallery- and I can’t wait to spread my poetical knowledge into the world. Time and dates are TBD, so keep an eye on my social media if you want to know more!

That’s it! 2026 is already proving to be a year of growth and opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you Wednesday with something creative! 🙂
