Sharp teeth hide behind every friendly smile
As we try to impress our peers
With riches and charity
Knowing full well
That we can barely afford to eat
Without working three jobs
Because perception
Is everything
And no one cares
How much you struggle
As long as you wear the right clothes
Drive the right car
Have the right body type
Follow the right religion
And turn a blind eye
To the darkness
That threatens us all
