The operating theatre Is sterile as can be With a cadaver on the slab For students just like me We’ll take turns exploring The hair and nails and skin Then our teacher makes the cut To let us see within Through the Y-shaped opening The organs are removed Each one gets weighed and measured Until they are approved In the vacant cavity We venture deeper still Probing veins, muscles, and bones Until we’ve had our fill The end of class comes too soon And some here won’t return But I like Nerterology For there is much to learn
