Society has taught us To work our very best Ignoring all the signs Our body needs to rest So when we finally fall And pause to catch a breath They dare call us “lazy” For not working to death They’ve long since forgotten To balance life and work Convincing themselves that Resting is a shirk Don’t let their hustle fool you And don’t believe the lies For “Lazy” is a construct That's ignored by the wise So listen to your body Relax here for a while Become the couch potato And do what makes you smile!
